STRUCTURAL / PLUMBING /
ELECTRICAL LAYER
Layers designated within the
digital model are overlaid onto
real-time video of the construction site. This video is captured by a small camera affixed to the back of the SecondSite device.
MILLWORK / FINISHING LAYER
Wi-Fi connectivity actively links selected construction elements
to manufacturer's websites to identify pricing or specification information.
The SecondSite device continually self calibrates to the user's current location. Functions built into the device allow fhe user to visualize and interact with various construction elements on-screen.
SecondSite would be utilized by on-site professionals such as
contractors, project managers, or architects. The device is meant
to supplement typical drawings by demonstrating design intention
as well as assisting in trade coordination. Two-way communication
also allows critical team members to collaborate using real time
information derived from on-site conditions.
